The kind and loving Dwight Campbell Adams passed away on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, in Orlando, Florida. Dwight was born in Detroit Michigan to John and Marian Adams. He lived in Ohio, then moved with his mother and two siblings to Jamaica where he lived for four years. Later they moved to Lakeland Florida, then finally settled down in Altamonte Springs. Dwight graduated from Lake Brantley High School and later from the University of Central Florida, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
After graduating from UCF with his Business Administration degree, concentrating in Finance and Accounting, Dwight worked as a respected CFO/Controller in the Central Florida construction industry. His last job, with T & T Construction Company, was where he planned to retire.
For the last 31 years he called Apopka, FL his home. In 1989 he married the love of his life, Christine May Adams. He had his first daughter Elizabeth Ann in 1994, his second daughter Sarah Kathleen in 2000, and his son John Christian in 2002. He was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cracking dad jokes, and supporting his favorite teams, the Tampa Bay Rays and the UCF Knights, tailgating with friends at the football games every year, as a 27 year season ticket holder. He was a big lover of animals and a friend to all that he met.
He is survived by his loving wife Christine Adams and three children Elizabeth, Sarah and Christian Adams, his mother Marian Adams (Burley) Siblings Lisa Cupp (Adams), Helmer Adams, Derek Adams, Tabby Adams (sister-in-law), his nieces and nephews, Kristine, Aimee, Caroline, Joseph, Johnathan, Nicholas, London, Simon, great nephew Logan and many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, John McMillan Adams II, and his father John McMillan Adams
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church 220 Horatio Ave, W, Maitland, FL 32751 at the Lakeside Chapel. Services will be streamed live and may be viewed by clicking on this link:
