Douglas Llewellyn Jones

Douglas passed away on March 21, 2019. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Diane Caldwell Jones, precious daughter, Jacqueline (Jones) Wickiser and his precious grandchildren, Victoria Carmenatty-Jones and Rhys Carmenatty-Jones.
Douglas was the son of the late Emlyn Jones and Margaret (Alice Reese) Jones and brother of the late William Jones, David Jones and Evelyn (Jones) Rawson. He leave behind his nephews, Thomas Jones, Bill Jones, Dave Jones, Dean McDonald, Andrew Caldwell, Jeff Caldwell and nieces Jennifer (McDonald) English and Alison McDonald.
Doug was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey, graduated from Bloomfield H.S. (NJIT) Newark College of Engineering with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fordham University and Journeyman Machinist. He was a United States Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran stationed in Guantanamo Bay during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Doug worked as a manager for Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 23 years and worked 11 years for Miami-Dade Police Department and was honorably retired from the Sheriff's Department in 2012 moving to Gotha, Florida the same year.
He had a passion for playing golf and in recent years collected rare and vintage golf clubs. Working on golf courses, in his youth with greens keepers, he developed a love of landscaping and gardening, focusing on propagation, which continued throughout his adult life.
