Dorothy Marlette Rokita, age 92, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Hillsboro, North Carolina on January 12, 1933.

"Dot" was blessed to grow up in a big family and was always sharing stories of life with her seven siblings. She was especially close with her sisters and enjoyed the special bond they shared.

Dot loved being a wife and mother, but once grandchildren arrived in her life, everything revolved around them. Nothing brought a bigger smile or more laughter to her life than a houseful of little one's giggling, playing and crawling onto her lap for stories and snuggles. Framed pictures donned every shelf space available at Grandma and Pop Pops house, recounting the wonderful memories created there.

Preceded in death by husband, John, Dot is survived by children, Tina, Bill, Rob, Grace, Marti and Micki and a host of grandchildren and great grands.

A Celebration of Life will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Sanford on Saturday, January 25 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to The WASH Foundation in Dot's memory @ wwwthewashfoundation.org.
