Dorothy Frances Miller went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2025 at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully at home in Altamonte Springs, FL with her son and daughter (Loretta) at her side.

Dorothy is survived by her 5 children Loretta Miller of Altamonte Springs, FL; Mark Miller of Winter Park, FL; Carolyn Jones (husband Richard) of Sarasota, FL; Linda Phillips of New York, NY; Dottie Lewis (husband Matthew) of Wesley Chapel, FL; her 7 Grandchildren Philip Jones of Sarasota, FL; Christie Narcio of Tampa, FL; Skylar Miller of Tampa, FL; Jordan Phillips of New York, NY; Griffin Phillips of New York, NY; Matthew Lewis of Wesley Chapel, FL; Molly Lewis of Wesley Chapel, FL; great grandchild Braxton Lambert of Tampa FL; sister Glenda Thompson (husband Cliff) of Joplin, MO and many nieces and nephews and special friend Christine Schroeder of Fenton, MI.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gust Miller; daughter Bonnie Miller; granddaughter Wendy Jones; siblings, Patricia Coffey, Nancy Greenway, Donald Greenway, and Charles Greenway

Dorothy was born on May 28, 1931 in Flint, MI to Virgil and Velma Greenway. She graduated from Drury College in Springfield, MO in 1960 with a bachelor of arts degree. Upon receiving her teaching certificate, she taught kindergarten full time in the Carman School district in Flint, MI. In 1962, she married Gust Miller, owner of Creamline Dairy. During the 70's and 80's, as the dairy became a focus for the family, she stepped away from teaching full time to work in the family business. In 1988 her husband passed away but she continued working in the business for a few years until its closing. In 1990 she returned to teaching but as a substitute teacher. In 2000 she moved to Missouri to help care for her ailing mother and brother. In 2005, she went to Michigan to live with her daughter and a few years later they moved to Florida to get away from the snow and cold.

Dorothy devoted her life to being a wife and loving mother to her children. She loved and cherished her family. She was a dedicated teacher where children thrived around her gentle and caring ways. She loved to travel and every year the family would pile in the car and head south from Michigan to enjoy the Florida sun and beaches, but little did she know then that she would be moving there. Dorothy also loved to read and plant flower and vegetable gardens.

She was very active in the church and a strong woman of faith. She enjoyed playing the piano to the tune of her favorite gospel songs: "Amazing Grace", "On A Hill Far Away" and "What a day that will be". She prayed fervently for her family and others and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Dorothy was a kind, gentle soul who
always smiled and had a positive demeanor. Those around her loved her very much; she will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 9001 Orlando Ave, Maitland FL 32751 with a reception to follow.
