Doris Irene Lore (Graves) peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 90 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Doris was born July 25, 1927 in Allison, IA, the daughter of Emmet and Ethel (Patton) Graves.
On June 21, 1947 Doris wed Marvin (Curly) E. Lore in Allison, IA. After a few years they moved to the Western Suburbs of Chicago. There they raised their children Timothy, Stephen, Sharon and Karen.
Doris struggled with Parkinson's disease for 10+ years. In 2011 she moved to the Orlando area because of her declining health. Doris had such fortitude as her disease progressed. She never lost her humor or her faith. This scripture captures her journey till the end, "I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith " 2Timothy, Ch 4:7
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Marvin; her son, Stephen; her parents, Emmet & Ethel Graves; and two sisters, Eileen Marando and Jean Tucker.
She is survived by her son; Timothy Lore, her two daughters; Sharon Sheehan (Kevin) and Karen Hatcher (Dorian), her daughter in law; Janet Lore, her sister; Patricia Murphy, grandchildren; Erin, Ryan (Brianna), Patricia, Eric ,Ashley & Austin, her great-grandchildren; Emma, Samuel & Ryker and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday June 25th, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park FL 32789. Fr. Richard Walsh will be presiding.
Doris's burial will be on Saturday June 30th at Hitesville Cemetery in Aplington IA. Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison, IA (641-456-3232) is handling the details.
