Donovan Adamson was born November 10, 1943, in Granada, Minnesota to Earl and Josie Adamson.

He grew up in the Minneapolis area and graduated from Bloomington High School.

He attended and graduated North Central Bible College, as it was then known, and began in ministry in Billings, Montana, working with youth and music. He served also in Walnut Creek and Concord, California, and Madison, Wisconsin before moving to Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1975.

His ministry in Oshkosh was a highlight in his life. Every week, for ten years, he interacted with hundreds of high school students from five area high schools. On Wednesdays they would meet for a night of competition, music, fellowship,and teaching.

His goal was to share the message of Christ, to develop and mentor emerging leaders, and to love all of them unconditionally. His life, and his devotion to these young people changed lives.

His passionate hobby was cars! He enjoyed the challenge of finding, restoring, detailing, and reselling them. His special interest was muscle cars of the 60's and 70's.

On December 25, 1976 he married Gloria (Swenson).

Donovan is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Shawnna (Clint) Oldenburg, Orlando, FL, and sons Ian, Orlando, FL, and Jordan, New York, NY, as well as two outstandingly wonderful grandsons, Cameron and Cooper Oldenburg.

Also surviving him are his two sisters, Crystalle Ebbinga of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Janice Koeshall of Lindale, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on January 11, 2020, at New Life Community Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, beginning at 11:00am. Visitation will be held both on Friday, January 10, from 5 -8:30pm, and before the service on Saturday, beginning at 9am
