Donald Lane Robbins, 66, of Casselberry, Florida was taken by the Lord on January 26, 2015. Born August 9, 1948 to the late George Robbins and Bonnie Skinner in Kosciusko, Mississppi, he lived with his grandparents on a farm until he moved to Florida in the late 1960's.
Don worked as a diesel technician for the Army Civil Service and spent many years in the construction industry as an owner for a floor installation company. He eventually retired from Wheeled Coach after 13 years of service, never missing a day of work.
Don had two hobbies, karaoke and fishing. Music was his gift to us and brought him much joy. From dawn until dusk, the water was his home. He was also the trustee and secretary for the Casselberry Veterans for many years and volunteered many evening to provide meals where the proceeds went to underprivileged children for Christmas.
He will be greatly missed by the family and friends he so deeply loved.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Elaine Robbins. He is also survived by his children Marc and wife Angelina, Clint and partner Lashay; Grandchildren Bradley, Haley, Austin, Amber, Aaliyah and Tiffany. Step-son Joseph Passanisi and wife Patti, their son Joseph. Step-son Jon Kazanjian and wife Claire, their children Thomas and Christopher.
He is also survived by his brother George (Joe) Robbins and wife Kay and pre-deceased by his sister Betty Dietz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8, 2015 at the Casselberry Veterans from 2-4pm located at 200 Concord Drive, Casselberry, Florida 32707.
