Donald "Donnie" Jenkins, 63, passed away in Sanford, Florida on June 24, 2015. Donnie was born in Gloucester, Virginia on June 8, 1952. He was a longtime resident of Hampton, Virginia and was part of the graduating class of Kecoughtan High School in 1971. It was here he met his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon Jenkins. Together they enjoyed their time laughing, traveling, and raising their two sons, James P. Jenkins and Robert M. Jenkins. In 2007 with the birth of his granddaughter, and the light of his life, Taya M. Jenkins, Donnie's smile became even brighter.

He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve in 1978 and was a long time employee of Air Products. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his loving heart.

Donnie is preceded in death by his father James Jenkins; his beloved mother Florence Herring, older brother James E. Jenkins, brother-in-law William Tinsley, and lifelong friend Barry Kenny. He is survived by his two sisters, Shirley Jarrell and Joyce Lincoln; Brother-in-laws Bob Jarrell, Marshall Tinsley and his wife Sharon and Scott Rodgers and his wife Freida; Sister-in-laws Cathy Gorski and her husband Greg and Caroline Tinsley. He will be missed by all including son Robert's fiance', Allison Cave, Taynelle Eley and her son Damion Eley, and his late mother's husband Donnie Herring. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Donnie" by his nephews and nieces.

There will be a private service at the family's home to celebrate this caring man and his wonderful life.
