Donald Lee Hasty II
Sadly, Donald Hasty, known as Don by his wife and coworkers, as Papa by his daughter and by Donny by much of his family, passed away on Wednesday, December 26th, 2023.
Don was born in Germany in June 1st, 1958 but grew up in Green Cove Springs, Fl, where he graduated from Clay County High School. He served in the US Air Force as a young man, but for the last 35 years he worked in water and wastewater operations as a Double A Certified Operator. He was fondly known as the "knowledge man" among his peers and coworkers and as a loving father and husband by his family. He is survived by his wife, Brandy Ann, and his daughter, Madison of Deltona. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn Hasty Barker of Sanford, FL, and Cheryl Yant of Jacksonville, FL and his brother, Keith Hasty of Vero Beach.
Don lived most of his life in Volusia and Seminole Counties. He loved the outdoors, the water and fishing. He was kind to hurt and injured animals and always concerned over the environment. He was extremely dedicated to his job and respected by his peers. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife often referred to him as her own private handyman because he could repair, wire or build almost anything.
Don will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all. He wad a loving father and teacher to his daughter and a loving husband and best friend to his wife.
Services will be held on January 3rd, 2023 as DeGusipe Funeral Home in Sanford, FL. There will be a viewing from 4 pm to 5 pm and a service from 5 to 6 pm. There will be an additional viewing from 6 to 7 pm with food and refreshments. All who are unable to make it earlier are welcome to come to the final viewing.
