Donald C Brown, age 79, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away on September 17, 2020. Donald was born on April 28, 1941 in Laurel Hill, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Lillian B. (Petersen) Brown, two sons, Shane (Kristin) and Kevin (Elizabeth), and one daughter Tracy Stephens (Jeff). He was also blessed with 7 grandchildren; Evan Brown, Garrett Brown, Kiley Brown, Alexis Brown, Alyssa Stephens, Alec Stephens, and Caleb Stephens. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Lena (Brown) Trussell and Debra (Brown) Schodorf, as well as several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, RJ and Pauline (Reese) Brown, as well as 4 of his 6 siblings.

Don was a veteran of the US Navy, having served 4 years during the Vietnam War. He followed this service to his country with 33 years of service to the State of Florida as a member of the Florida Highway Patrol, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He worked as an investigator and polygraph examiner before retiring in 2001.

Don was a loving, caring family man who would have done anything for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed attending their sporting events, as well as hosting annual week-long staycations, where he was not above losing a game of Candyland or Go Fish to any one of the grandchildren. He loved to play golf, attend Tampa Bay Rays baseball games, and work in his workshop. He will be missed by all.
