Dominick Orlando "Don" Pellicano, 93, of Longwood, FL, passed from this earth on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 with his beloved wife Joan and step-daughter Cindy by his side. His death was unexpected.
Don is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joan, of Longwood, FL., his son Don A. Pellicano of Missouri, his son Daniel C. Pellicano of South Carolina, his step-son William Cribbs Jr of Franklin, NC., his step-daughter Cindy Prince-Beardslee of Chesapeake, VA. and his step-son Michael Cribbs of NC. Don has 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Salvatore Pellicano of Ellwood, PA.
Dominick Orlando Pellicano was born on September 25, 1929 to Stella and Salvatore Pellicano in Pitcairn, PA. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA. At the age of 22, Don entered into service with the US Army from 1951 to 1953. Over the following years, he found employment in several different professions, married his lifetime bride, Joan on November 6, 1982 and eventually retired from Alisa Knitting Mill, with over 20 years of service. He was an avid collector of trains and loved sharing his knowledge of them with family and friends. Don was easy to talk to, a loving husband, an understanding parent, a doting grandpa and a kind, generous soul.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 9:30 A.M. on August 31, 2023 at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL. Mr. Clint Kandle will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Don's life. Condolences may be sent to
