Dolores A. Lytle, 84, departed this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her home in Winter Park, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 31, 1930 in Sugarloaf, PA, Dolores enjoyed sewing, interior design and cooking for family and friends. She traveled the world as a military wife which inspired her culinary passion. Her business, Dee's Pasta, was one of the early purveyors at the Winter Park Farmer's Market. Her biggest accomplishment was raising eight children as a single parent, sometimes working three jobs to do so, while always maintaining a strong and positive attitude. Dolores was preceded in death by her son, William Harbove (Pam-deceased); parents George & Bertha Pongratz and 14 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Raymond Lytle, children: Charles Harbove (Cinde-deceased); Debra Escandon; Robert Harbove (Lynda); Mary Vernak (Andy); Thomas Harbove (Holly); Margaret Horton (Charlie); Teresa Lytle; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at New Covenant Anglican Church, 800 Tuskawilla Rd., Winter Springs, FL 32708. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VITAS, 2201 Lucien Way, Suite 100, Maitland, FL 32751.
