Obituary

Mrs. Diane Marie Wilk Johnson, 76, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Diane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Diane was known for her love of Scripture and spent much time sharing verses and inspirational songs with those in need of an encouraging word. She enjoyed beautiful dishes and derived great pleasure in setting a pretty table for every occasion.

Diane was preceded in death by her cherished husband, William Johnson, her parents, Stephen and Anna Wilk, and her brothers Richard and James Wilk.

She is survived by her children, Barb Slater (Joel), Karen Rapp (Barry), Doug Johnson (Lizzy), Nancy Johnson, David Johnson (Kimberly), and Brian Johnson (Christine); grandchildren, Michael Slater (Erin), Matthew Slater (Jordan), Andrew Slater, Amie Gill (Sam), Jacob Rapp, Julia Rapp, John Rapp, Alexsa Woods (Brandon), Noah Johnson, Laila Johnson, Gracia Johnson, Vera Johnson, and Willa Johnson, Aairic Johnson, Ireland Johnson, and Ophelia Johnson; great-grandchildren, Bellamy and Wyatt Woods, Grayson and Emery Slater, and Story Slater, as well as her sister, Ann Marie Przyborowski (Joe) and her brother, Kevin Wilk.

A funeral service to celebrate Diane's life will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 3530 49th St. N., in St. Petersburg, on Saturday, August 17th, with visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m., and burial at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Lexington Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care that they provided and the kindness that was shown.
