Diane M. Phillips, 73 Winter Park, FL went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband, Michael C. Phillips USN (Ret), and precious daughter, Michelle Cornell, loving family members and professional care providers.

Diane was the daughter of James and Patricia Fitzpatrick. She was predeceased by both parents and her beloved grandson, Devon Fiorini Braungard.

Diane is survived by her children, Michelle Cornell (Ron) NY, Michael Phillips II (Lori) OH, Kevin Phillips, John Phillips, and Mathew Phillips (April) CA, her brothers, James Fitzpatrick (Joyce) NY, Sean Fitzpatrick FL, 3 nephews, Daniel Fitzpatrick (Sara) NY, Shane Fitzpatrick and Seth Fitzpatrick FL; grandchildren, Michael Phillips III USN,(Skylarr), Christopher, Clay OH, Ryan, Natalie, Daisy , Elizabeth, Grant, and Kyle, CA, her Goddaughter Lisa (Tim) FL, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Diane graduated from Catholic Central Diane HS in 1965 and began her 40 plus year career with Singer Link in Binghamton, NY. During her career in the Simulation and Modeling industry she met and made many dear friends. She was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and care for her colleagues. She was respected and loved by her many associates in and outside the industry. Friendship to her was not just a word it was a commitment.

The Industry brought Diane and Mike to Florida in 1996 where they continued their work in Modeling and Simulation. This was an opportunity for Diane to spread her love and dedication to many more colleagues, friends and relatives. She had a loving and supportive family in Florida who became an intimate part of Mike and her daily life. Upon her retirement she and Mike used their time to travel and to be with their dear friends and relatives.

Diane was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing the world with the love of her life and their family and friends. Diane was the light and laughter in every room. Her loving and nurturing nature drew life long friends, many of whom consider her their surrogate mother. She was "Mom" to many and never hesitated to grow her family. Diane's zest for life, infectious laugh, and Irish tenacity made her the beautiful woman she was both inside and out.

She will be sorely missed here by many and welcomed with open arms in heaven by so many more. Rest well sweet lady, until we meet again.
