Diane (Berger) Hoben, daughter of Charles and Helen (Dyer) Berger, was born July 5, 1951, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She received her education in the Ayrshire Community School. Diane worked as a low-income loan officer for the USDA until her retirement.
Diane was united in marriage to Bradley Hoben on June 22, 1970. They lived in Emmetsburg, Iowa until moving to Sanford, Florida in 1985 to raise their family.
Diane loved to bake tasty goodies, laugh with her friends and family, and always knew how to show kindness when it was most needed.
Diane passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, peacefully at her home in Sanford, Florida at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Berger; brothers, Samuel Berger, James "Bigfoot" Berger, Richard Berger, and Robert "Bob" Berger; Sisters Marlene Knutson and Loretta Buchannan.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley Hoben of Sanford, Florida; her children, Jeffrey Hoben of Sanford, Florida, Jennifer and Alex Santana of Orlando, Florida, Jill and Elietzer Rivera of Peyton, Colorado; five grandchildren; siblings Janet and Shane Knoll of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Lavonne and Dave Eldridge of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Joan Hanson of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Randy and Kim Berger of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Roland and Melody Berger of Wathena, Kansas, Douglas and Jessica Berger of Ruthven, Iowa, and Loren Berger of Spencer, Iowa; brother-in-law Peter Knutson of Weslaco, Texas; sisters-in-law Harriet Berger of Spender, Iowa and Kathy Berger of Ayrshire, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory - Sanford Chapel 905 Laurel Avenue, Sanford, Florida 32771 with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Diane's life.
