Dennis Eugene Watrous, 69, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Born on September 28, 1954, in Huntington, West Virginia, Dennis dedicated over 30 years to his career as an accountant at Florida Progress, now Duke Energy, before working with the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Petersburg and St. Vincent de Paul from which he retired.
An avid Buccaneers fan and movie enthusiast, Dennis was also a former member of a billiards league in St. Petersburg. He cherished his Sunday visits with his mother, Patricia, after her church services.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Watrous, and his brother, Charles "Rusty" Watrous Jr. Dennis is survived by his mother, Patricia Watrous; his brother, Patrick Watrous; and two nieces, Shannon Phillips and Heather Parker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 3530 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
