It is with a heavy heart to share the loss of my beloved Dennis. Our "Motorcycle, Motor Head, Geek" was loved by many.
Our Dennis was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything and was always willing to help and offer his expertise. Of course, YOU had to do the work. He was always teaching all of us lessons. I feel he still is. Dennis lived his life to the fullest and his family and friends were his highest priority.
Dennis Hugh Leaman, 66 of Sorrento, Florida was born July 29, 1950 in Tampa, Florida. Preceded him in death were his parents James and Bessie "Jones" Leaman. Dennis retired from the local Telephone Company after 31 years in the telecommunication industry.
Dennis and I traveled to Maine this summer stopping along the way to camp with family and friends. We had an amazing two months traveling, and we were excited to be returning home. Dennis passed away on his birthday July 29, 2016 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dennis is survived by his wife Gerri Leaman, Sorrento Florida, Sister, Sandra Nunn, Sun City Florida, nephew, Jeff Smith, Plant City Florida, nephew Jim Smith, Tampa Florida. In lieu of flowers, our wish is to support "JDRF Ride for the Cure for Type 1 Diabetes." Dennis was supportive of this cause because Diabetes has touched our family. Jennifer and I will be doing our 4th Century Ride in October at Amelia Island, Florida.
