Denise Lynn Schnitker, 51, of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully on July 27,
2017. She was born on June 6, 1966 in Louisiana to Sam and Ingrid Lewis.
Denise is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Kevin Michael Schnitker,
her daughter Taylor Leigh Schnitker, and her son Kyle Lee Schnitker all of Apopka,
her three siblings, and several extended family members. She was preceded in death
by her mother.
Denise graduated from Lake Brantley High School. She went on to become an office
manager for Molecular Dimensions in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She also was a
proud Catholic, and attended Annunciation Catholic Church.
Denise relentlessly battled cancer over the past three years. She showed great
strength and determination throughout, and never complained about her situation.
She was an inspiration for all who came in contact with her during her fight.
Denise had a natural inclination to care for others, and she lovingly cared for her
mother prior to her death. Denise took a special interest in children, her own
children as well as all of her nieces and nephews. At family gatherings she would
take first dibs on cuddling the newest baby, and she enjoyed talking with all of her
family members to hear what was happening in their lives. She loved her family. She
enjoyed going to craft fairs, found joy in traveling, especially to the beaches of
Florida and mountains of North Carolina. Fall was her favorite time of the year as
evidenced by her spectacular Halloween decorations. Denise also had a special
place in her heart for animals, and enjoyed spending time with the family pets.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her, and will live on in our hearts forever.
