Obituary

Debra Ann Tuzzolino was born on Dec. 18, 1970 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and died peacefully on Oct. 29, 2025 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Deb or Debbie, as her friends called her, was a force of love and kindness and will be remembered always for her beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and lust for life. She left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She loved the New York Yankees, flowers, the beach, traveling and laughing with her many friends. Most of all, she loved her beloved wife, Amy, her pups, Georgie and Enzo, and her extended family.

Deb grew up in Brooklyn, attending St. Ephrem's School, Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School and Brooklyn College. She worked for decades for Turner Construction Company, serving as an accountant, internal auditor and Florida accounting manager. She participated in dozens of building projects during her career, including a revamp of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in Alexandria, Va., the construction of Blue Origin's facilities on Florida's Space Coast and a major renovation project at George M. Steinbrenner Field, home of the New York Yankees Spring Training. She was a member of Turner's Women Impacting Turner employee resource group and a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ awareness and acceptance, serving as leader of the Orlando Chapter of Turner's Pride Alliance. She also served on the board of One Orlando Alliance, a coalition of organizations honoring the memory of those lives taken and those affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting. In 2018, she was honored by the Orlando Business Journal as an "Outstanding Diversity Champion."

Deb leaves behind her wife, Amy Keller; stepmother, Fran Tuzzolino; sister, Karen Duffy (John); brother, Fred Tuzzolino (Lisa); numerous and cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Deb was predeceased by her parents, Fred Tuzzolino and Joanne Johnson Tuzzolino.
A Memorial Service will be held on Nov. 8 at Scarpaci Funeral Home in Brooklyn, N.Y. from 2-5 pm.
