Debra Simko Desjardins died at the age of 63 on November 23, 2018 in Altamonte Springs FL. Born March 24, 1955 in Linz Austria to Susie Bonfini Simko and Andrew Michael "Andy" Simko. Debra attended Mclean High School in Mclean Virginia and after a move to Albuquerque NM she graduated from Albuquerque High School. After graduation she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder CO. where she graduated in 1977. After graduation she attended the Law school at University of Colorado for two years.

Debra moved and worked for an attorney in Washington DC, then moved to Tallahassee, FL. to work for the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers as thier event planner. She then worked for FACC (Florida Association of Community Colleges) as an event planner. Moving to Orlando, FL she then worked for the Florida Nurses Association as an event planner until she became disabled in 1998.

Debra met her husband Robert W Desjardins from Methuen, MA at Epcot in Walt Disney World in 2000. In 2003 they were married at the Ritz Carlton Orlando. Thier love story is like a Disney fairytale.

Debra enjoyed cooking and would send food packages to all her friends and family. She also enjoyed Walt Disney World and visited the parks frequently.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents Susie and Andrew Simko and her sister Andrea Ellinor and her mother and father in-law Marie and Wilfred Desjardins and her sister in-law Lorraine Jackson. In addition to her beloved husband Robert, Debra is survived by her sister Stephanie Simko Weaver and her husband Jim Weaver of Orlando FL. Debra is also survived by her brother and sister in-laws Theresa Lafreniere and her husband, Ronald of Derry, N.H., Richard Desjardins and his wife, Linda of Poinciana, Fla., Roger Desjardins and his wife, Betty of Andover, Mass., Ron Desjardins and his wife, Laura of Derry, N.H. and Donald Jackson of Methuen, MA.; Also survived by her nieces and nephews Andrew Ellinor, Spencer Ellinor, Christopher Desjardins, Cathrine Desjardins, Joshua Desjardins, Corey Desjardins, Scott Grant, Dan Grant, Harrison Desjardins, Broderick Desjardins and Elysia Desjardins. Also survived by a great nephew Luke Desjardins.
