Obituary

We regretfully announce the death of Daywattie "Ellen" Ramdihal, 55, who passed away surrounded by her loved ones on March 24, 2023 at her home in Orlando, Florida. Ellen, 55, had a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer and is finally at rest.

She was born on February 3, 1968 in #45 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana. She was the second child of Steven and Mini Ramdihal, sister of Joe and Ralph Ramdihal, and husband of Dinesh Sankar.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Ramnarine and Jasodra Rambrich, paternal grandparents Ramdihal Ramsarran and Rajpati Ramdihal, uncle Ramroop Ramdihal and is survived by her parents, husband Dinesh, brothers Joe and Ralph and their respective spouses, Fazeela, and Nalini; and nieces and nephews Alyssa, Randy, Sophia, Ryan, and Karina.

Through marriage, she is preceded in death by her father in law, Jaipersaud Sankar, and is survived by mother in law, Dhanmattie Sankar, siblings in law, Somesh, Kamenie, Munesh, Mala and Shanie, and nieces and nephews, Sean, Rojesh, Shalenie, Savita, Sonia, and Rakesh.

Ellen will be forever remembered for her loving smile, kindness, and devotion to her family and loved ones. Services will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 1440 Matthew Paris Blvd, Ocoee, Florida on March 28, 2023, 4pm to 8pm, and March 29, 11am to 1pm. Burial will take place at Orlando Memorial Gardens, 5264 Ingram Road, Apopka, Florida on March 29, 2023 at 1:30pm.
