Obituary

David Harold Weeks, Jr. of Orlando, Florida passed away on November 9, 2017. Mr. Weeks was born in Avon Park, Florida on January 2, 1961 to David Harold Weeks, Sr. and Beverly Alice (Long) Weeks.

A lifelong Floridian, David graduated from Sebring High School in 1979, then studied at the University of Central Florida before embarking on a career in financial planning. David's family is grateful to the many friends and co-workers at Charles Schwab, where David worked the last 20 years, for their kind and loving support during his long battle with cancer.

A loving family man and gifted gardener, David truly enjoyed spending time at home and in his garden, where he created a wonderful home for his family. He loved visits to the beach and exploring the area's many theme parks with his family. David was a kid at heart, a very kind soul who easily connected with others, always keeping them first in his thoughts – a true "Captain America" and Jean's "Superman" throughout their 25 wonderful years together.

David is survived by his devoted wife Jean (Spudis) Weeks and loving son David Matthew Weeks, by his parents, David and Beverly Weeks, sister Tena (Weeks) Hartley and brother Troy Weeks; he was preceded in death by his brother James Weeks. Erlene Spudis, David's beloved mother-in-law, who preceded him in death by one month, was a joyful and giving member and recipient of their loving household.

Knowing that David lives in beauty and peace in the arms of his Lord and Savior – no longer in pain, reunited with loved ones that passed before him – is a wonderful blessing and comfort.

If you'd have a mind at peace,
A heart that cannot harden,
Go find a door that opens wide
Upon a lovely garden - author unknown
