Obituary

David Lee Skyles, age 69, died at Life Care Center of Altamonte Springs, FL, on August 31, 2016. The cause was complications from a stroke suffered March 21, 2016.

Born February 22, 1947 in St Louis, MO, he lived in Sanford, FL.
He graduated college from Washington University, St Louis, MO, 1969, with a Masters in Architecture and Urban Design.

David owned his own firm, DLS Architects, PA. He had a NCARB, which allowed to him to practice architecture in any state in the USA. He designed and built many beautiful buildings in the Central Florida area. Along with being an architect David was also a building contractor.
He loved designing, building and showing Street Rods, boating (fishing) and photography. David was proud of his children, step children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Kathy Butler Skyles; son, Stephen D. Skyles; daughter, Tammy Skyles Keif (Brian); 2 step daughters, Marcey Kinney-Stahon (Tim) and Stacey Kinney Reichert: 8 grandchildren Stephen Skyles, Brandyn Keif, Breelynn Keif, Dylan Meredith, Madison Kinney, Cassie Reichert, Sophie Reichert and Colin Stahon; a brother Robert Skyles Jr. (Patsy) and sister Pamela Skyles Ahrens (Maurice); along with 8 nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Skyles and his mother, Marguite Molitor Skyles.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
