David Eugene Philmon, 60, of Orlando, FL, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 1, 2021. We all know Heaven will never be the same.

Forever cherishing their memories of David are his eight children that he adored: Brenda Philmon of Orlando, FL, Kim Schlosser and husband, Todd, of Apopka, Tiffany Philmon of Orlando, FL, Sheri Hall and husband, Tommy, of Sorrento, FL, David J. Philmon of Orlando, FL, Robbie Philmon of Apopka, FL, Joey Philmon and Fiance, Sabrina, of Orlando, FL, and Nikki Philmon and Fiance, Kylund, of Apopka, FL.

David is also survived by his twenty beautiful, loving, and kind grandchildren: Hennesy Decker, Caution Decker, Gauge Decker, Emily Wynn, Angel Schlosser, Seairra Schlosser, Hailey Schlosser, Kade Upshaw, Jordan McNeil, Kreed Philmon, Chance Hall, Heavenlee Hall, David "DJ" Philmon, Jr., Colt Philmon, Alexis Philmon, Casey Faughn Jr., Cassidy Faughn, Chase Faughn, Bentlee Philmon and Jaylund Philmon; and two great grandchildren; Brennan and Journey. David was also loved by his loyal and loving companion, Judy Currence and her family.

David spent his life working hard to provide for his family. He and his children's mother, Ann, raised eight amazing children. David was proud that his children had become loving, kind, loyal, generous, and successful. He always said his children were his greatest accomplishments. David loved life, from his Harley Davidson to his pink lemonade to his steak fried rice from the bottoms.

David loved his family and friends unconditionally! He adored his life-long friend/brother, James Carter and his entire family! James will live out David's legacy and always protect all 8 of David's children. He also loved his life-time friends/sisters, Susan & Miss Hardy and their entire family who became a part of David's family as well.

David was a hardworking dad that stood by his children's sides all of their lives! He was well known in the Apopka/Wekiva area for his remodeling company "David Philmon's Remodeling" and his AMAZING Christmas light hanging every December. While David hung lights for income, his main reason for the activity was pure enjoyment. His children will cherish their memories of David's phenomenal "light tree" that he put in the front yard every year.

David will be truly missed and will remain in our hearts forever!
