David M. Madden, 73 of St. Petersburg, died peacefully in his sleep on July 22, 2014. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 4, 1940, David moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 1947.

He attended Mary Help of Christians School in Tampa, Fla. He then graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1959 where he was a trombone player for the marching band. David was a devoted son, brother and uncle. With an engaging personality, brilliant mind, love of life, and faith in God, David was an inventor and a handy-man who could fix anything. He enjoyed sports, reading science fiction, and he loved to cook.

David is survived by his niece Ann Madden Tufano of Cherry Hill, NJ and his great niece Sofia Tufano and great nephew Enrico Tufano.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held at Mary Help of Christians, 6400 E. Chelsea St., Tampa on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 12:00 p.m.. Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4900 54th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Fla.
