Obituary

David Alan Kiefer, 63, of Orlando, FL, passed away on June 7, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on September 29th, 1961, to Joseph and Lois (Wolfson) Kiefer. He was raised in Puerto Rico, Maine, and Florida. David spent his youth playing a variety of sports: soccer, softball, baseball, and tennis. He graduated from Lake Brantley High School. He went on to attend the University of Florida (GO GATORS) and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting. David was involved in many clubs and extracurriculars during college, including Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity, Softball, and Football Cheerleading.

David spent many years working as a salesman selling tax software. More recently, David took on a new venture as a franchise owner of Jeremiah's Italian Ice. No matter what venture David took on, he always put his whole heart into everything he did and was always looking to improve himself and be helpful to those around him.

David was a fiercely loyal, kind, and caring man who loved his family deeply and always gave the best of himself to others. He was a devoted husband and loving father who passed his passion for sports on to his children. David spent many years of his life on the sidelines of soccer games and cheerleading competitions. He loved to get to know everyone he met and always knew how to tell a perfectly timed joke. David always found a reason to laugh, he lived life to the fullest, and will be remembered for his infectious energy and amazing stories. No matter what life gave him, he always carried himself with grace and dignity.

He brought joy and laughter to everyone's lives. His absence will be felt deeply by those who loved him, and he will be missed every day.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kiefer. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carolyn Kiefer- Orlando. He is survived by his children Caleigh Kiefer - Gainesville, Alyssa Kiefer - Tampa and Jenna Kiefer - Tampa, his dog Lola, and cat Touie. He is survived by his mother Lois Kiefer- Altamonte Springs and siblings Susan Kiefer- Flagler Beach, Elizabeth Kiefer- Altamonte Springs, and Daniel Kiefer- McLean, VA.
