Daryl Leonard Brookings, 73, of Wheeler, PA, was born June 26, 1949 and was called home March 14, 2023. Daryl transitioned peacefully at home surrounded by his family and adored dog, GQ.

Daryl worked very hard and provided for his family his entire life. He was employed at Anchor Hocking Glass Factory for 38 years until retiring in 2004. Some of his hobbies included biking and fishing with his brother and best friend, Kevin.

Daryl was predeceased by his parents Joseph David Brookings and Emmy Jones Brookings, "Gram" Grace Davis, sister Ruth Wilson Walker Ford (Robert), sister Margaret Robertson (Albert), brother Kevin Davis Sr., brother-in-law Leonard Shelton.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 54 years Grace Brookings, who provided him with unconditional love and amazing care. He is survived by his son Daryl J. Brookings (Toni), granddaughter Taylor Brookings (Johnathan Price), and great-grandchildren Legend and Lynix Price. His siblings, Donna Shelton, Deborah "Sissy" Davis (Joe Burton), Sandra Brookings, Keith Davis (Anna), Kelly Davis Brookings, Kirk Brookings (Adena), Kenton Brookings (Leanna), Karl Brookings (Tracy), Sister-in-law Betty Davis, and Aunt Marie Lewis.

Special Family and Friends to be acknowledged are Jennifer Ramsey, Jennifer Evans, Ryan Brown, Tiffany Evans, and Terrence "Puddy" Lewis (Lisa Mansberry), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Daryl will be greatly missed by all his earthly family but once again reunited with his loved ones in heaven. He means so much to all of us. Rest in Peace Husband, Dad, Pap-Pap, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.

A memorial service to honor Daryl's life will be held at Payne AME Church in Connellsville, PA, Saturday, April 8th at 11 AM.
