Darryl V. Jenkins went to be with the Lord on the morning of April 11, 2018. Served in the US Marine Corp. Served 22 years on the NY State Police Department, retired as a Detective Sergeant in 2002.

As many of you know, after a long 5 year wait on dialysis; Darryl was blessed with a kidney, on February 16, 2018. His last month and a half were full of plans for an amazing new future. He had a slight problem and was admitted into the hospital. Doctors thought it might be rejection but after a biopsy it was found to be a small issue and the Kidney continued to function beautifully.

After a 10 day stay at the hospital he was released, he was very tired but still very hopefully and happy.

I believe that the last 10 years of illnesses was just too long of a wait and his body had very little strength left to adapt to his new gift.

Darryl was a loving husband to his wife, Lydia and an amazing Dad to his daughters, Demaris, Jessica, Lydia & Marisol. He was an exceptional son to Joan & Eric, a great brother and uncle to his sister Dawn, and niece Krystal. He leaves his grands, Anthony, Kendall, Alicia, Jonathan & Xavier who filled his heart with joy. He also leaves to mourn his Aunts Sylvia, Kay and Sandra as well as, his loving in-laws Lydia, Julius and Wilfred. Darryl leaves to cherish is memories his cousins, Lynn, Donna, Damien, Phyllis & Darlene. He was an extraordinary brother and sister in law to Denisse and Andrew. His nieces & nephews, Krystal, Adrienne & Michael, Emmanuel, Marielle, Daniel, Andrew & Moira, Dyson, Ashley, Judith Anne, Joshua, JJ & Jovanni will miss his unconditional love.
