Daniel L. 'Dan' Bauer, 94, of Winter Park passed away May 11, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 31, 1927. He married Catherine 'Katy' Casasnovas on December 20, 1958. Dan retired from the U.S. Navy in 1969. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989. Dan received a B.S. from Jones College. He had a passion for fishing, water skiing and gardening. He enjoyed growing vegetables, fruit trees and all kinds of plants.

He was survived by his wife Katy Bauer, his three children Cheryl McConnaughey (Jeff), Chet Bauer, Charis Fornicola, granddaughter Shandi Fornicola, sister Barbara Hostick (Jerry), nephew Bryan Hostick (Lil), niece Cathy Kirby (David), and great & great-great nieces & nephews.
