Dana Alan Ramsden, 64, of Orlando, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Dana is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy Ramsden; his daughter, Taylor Newbold (Matt); his cherished granddaughter, Lillian Bartlett; and his mother, Leonora Ramsden. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ramsden, and his brother, Keith Ramsden.
Born on June 27, 1961, in Woburn, Massachusetts, Dana was the son of Richard and Leonora Ramsden. He was a highly respected mechanic who worked at Tropical Ford and Mullinax Ford, and later retired from the City of Apopka in 2024. Dana had a lifelong passion for drag racing—especially with his beloved '69 Mustang, "Peggy"—as well as fishing and traveling/cruising with his family.
Dana was an extraordinary man known for his kind heart, unwavering positivity, and remarkable patience. He was a natural teacher and leader who inspired everyone around him. His determination and creativity in the garage earned him the nickname "Super-D." Whether building gadgets from scratch or solving the most complex problems, there was little he couldn't figure out.
Dana's presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His legacy of strength, generosity, and ingenuity will live on in the lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 20th at 2:00 PM at Bear Lake Clubhouse, 3324 Holliday Ave, Apopka, FL 32703.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the hospice team at AdventHealth Altamonte and the Moffitt Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
