Danny R. Parker, age 81, of Fern Park, Florida, passed away on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs. Dan was born on March 7, 1938 in Brownwood, Texas to Wilberta and Elmer Parker. Danny and Dorothy Routledge married on June 4, 1960 in Parsippany, New Jersey. Dan will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 59 years, sons Don (Kathy) of Las Vegas, Nevada and David (Kristin) of Murphy, North Carolina, granddaughter Jillian and many friends and fellow law enforcement. Dan's law enforcement career spanned 43 years. He served as an Officer with the North Caldwell Police Department, New Jersey, and Winter Park and Maitland, Florida Police Departments. Dan retired as a Sergeant after 24 years with the Orange County (Florida) Sheriff's Office.
Services will be held at 1pm on May, 10, 2019 at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory, 9001 N. Orlando Ave., Maitland, Florida 32751 (407.695.2273). Public viewing and visitation will be from 11am to 1pm. Light fare and refreshments will follow. Burial services will be at 3:30pm at All Faiths Memorial Parker, 1390 Park Drive, Casselberry, Florida 32707 (407.331.1910).
