Cynthia Kay Smith, age 78, died on February 8, 2023. She is survived by her two
daughters, Laurie Montgomery and Lise Weaver; her three grandchildren, Gwendolyn
Chermont, Jessica Weaver, and Brooke Weaver; and her two great-grandchildren, Ziggy
and Beatrix Chermont. She was predeceased by her partner for the last decade Heinz
Rabeneck, her grandson Thorin Montgomery, and her husband Edward James Smith.

Cindy was born on December 25, 1944 in Oak Park, Illinois, to Matthew Boss and Anna
Boss (DeVries). She graduated high school from Timothy Christian School and then
attended Presbyterian-St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing. After moving to Florida
and her husband's death, she obtained her Nurse Practitioner license at the University
of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. She spent most of her life working in the
obstetrics and gynecology field which she loved.

Our family is grateful to know that Cindy is finally at peace after a long year of health
struggles.
