Cynetta M. Williams was born March 16, 1954 to BH Davis and Virgia Allen (Jacobs) of Jacksonville, Florida.
As the eldest child, Cynetta took her position seriously; she was the epitome of a big sister. She would often take her role to the next level and transition to 2nd mom. She loved her siblings deeply and made many sacrifices to always be, "The one who was there." Cynetta was blessed to have other loving father figures, the late Arthur J Savage and the late Rev. Gus Allen Jr. who was fondly known as, Old Man & Rev.
Cynetta joined the United States Air Force in October 1974. Her first duty station was K.I. Sawyer just south of Marquette, Michigan where she met the love of her life, Grady Williams. They would eventually have two loving children who they loved and raised in Michigan.
Cynetta was an active member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She wholeheartedly gave honor to God through her duties within the nurse's guild and as a missionary. Although she was not an official choir member, her uniquely beautiful voice was a blessing to the congregation each Sunday. Within her own family, Cynetta and her siblings loved to sing hymns and praise the Lord.
Cynetta attended Cleary University where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She retired from the Air Force in 2014 after 29 years of dedicated service and later joined Sigma Phi Psi Sorority Inc. of the United States Armed Forces.
She is survived by her loving husband Grady R. Williams, mother Virgia Allen (Jacobs), daughters Keyetta Jackson (Todd) and Kaitlynn Joplin (Aaron); siblings Vince (Sharon), Julie (Charles), Gregory, Marisha, Gerald, Felita (Steve), Lolita (Gilbert), Gary, and Marlene; Donnie (Ann), Cathy, Vanessa, Barbara, Evelyn (Erwin), Paul (Oralandar), Barry, and Nancy; grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father BH Davis.
