Curt Lane Batchelder, 60, of Orlando, Florida passed away Friday, February 1, 2019. Curt was born November 21, 1958 in LaCrosse, WI to Robert Wesley and Beverly Jane "Beck" Batchelder. Curt attended Rollins College and Valencia College, where he was a collegiate golfer. During the summer months, he was a golf instructor for Arnold Palmer Golf Academy where he met his wife, Sheryl, who took up Curt, but not golf! Being creative, Curt spent countless hours building NIS Print, a printing and specialty packaging business. He served as past president of Boone Boosters. Curt enjoyed gardening, boating, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends.
A service celebrating Curt's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 4851 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL. A burial service will follow at Dr. Phillips Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
To honor Curt's memory, donations may be made to the Go Fund Me (

) page for Brent & Tiffany Smith. She met this young couple in Vienna while Brent was also receiving treatment for a rare form of cancer. They were so supportive during Curt's treatments, but especially during the preparations and logistics of coming back home. They helped Sheryl pack and got them safely to the airport. Without them, Sheryl feels they would never have made it home, and therefore calls them her Vienna Angels! Anything you can do to help Brent & Tiffany would be greatly appreciated.
