Craig B. McCollum, Senior
Born: May 4, 1953
Died: April 5, 2021
Birthplace: Philadelphia, PA
Craig McCollum died unexpectedly on April 5, 2021 in Clermont, FL.
Craig was a good, generous man who adored his family and friends. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He lavished the people around him with his time, knowledge, and skills. One would always find him around or in a car. His passion for street rods and muscle cars earned him awards, recognition, and above all, friendship with many other car enthusiasts.
Craig's hardworking attitude started at an early age and drove a storied career at Xerox for over 30 years. He was never too busy to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor tackling a home project or to coach a soccer team. Even in retirement, he found pleasure in working for Seacoast Bank as one of their trusted couriers.
He will be missed by all those that had the joy of knowing him and having him in their life. Craig is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Barbara McCollum (née Lohoefer), his daughter, Karen Zbyszinski (Wade), his son, Craig McCollum II, grandchildren Logan, Liem, Shayla, Joshua, and Jacob, sisters Joyce McCollum, and Susan Simmler (William), stepmother Hanna McCollum, brother-in-law, Neil Lohoefer (Terri), brother-in-law, Robert Lohoefer (Susan), and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Byron and Charlotte McCollum.
At this time, there are no services. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memorial of Craig to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia or PSC Partners Seeking a Cure.
The family of Craig McCollum invites you to leave a message of condolence on the Tribute Wall created in his memory.
