Coy C. Williamson passed peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on October 13, 2020 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 90 from natural causes.

Coy C. Williamson is survived by his wife Wanita R. Williamson of Orlando, Florida; son, Rodney Williamson, who preceded him in death; daughter, Robin W. West and her husband Charles, Orlando Florida; grandson Chad West, Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter Elizabeth Williamson, Orlando, FL; Parents, Ira & Lular Williamson, who preceded him in death; sister Ruth Johnston, who preceded him in death; sister, Edna Williamson Hewitt, who preceded him in death; brother J.C Williamson, who preceded him in death.

Coy was born on June 14, 1930 in Haleyville, AL to Ira & Lular Williamson. He graduated from Jonesboro High in Jonesboro, GA. He attended University of Georgia with a major in Business. He enlisted in the United State Marines Corp and was stationed in Twenty-nine Palms, CA. Coy married Wanita Robinson, his high school sweetheart on January 24, 1953. On December 23,1953, the couple welcomed their first child, Rodney. After the Korean War and leaving the Marine Corp, the couple moved back to Atlanta and welcomed their daughter, Robin. Coy began his insurance career with Liberty National Life Insurance and enjoyed a long and successful career. The couple entered a business venture when they opened Kart City, a family recreation park in Longwood, FL. They are remembered fondly for encouraging a playful atmosphere of family fun!

Coy was accomplished in sales and enjoyed a distinguished career. He received the honor of Man of the Year, one of many awards and recognitions he accepted by the Insurance Industry. Coy was a generous individual who tirelessly served his church and community throughout the years. He was passionate about helping people less fortunate then himself and worked towards that goal. He was an active and dedicated member of Central Baptist, Sanford, FL and served as a Deacon and Head Usher. He was a bit of an "energizer bunny" and hard worker that loved to laugh and make people smile. Coy had a zest life and even at ninety was making plans for his next project.

The love of his life, partner, and bride of sixty-seven years, Nita, was by his side to the very end. They shared a deep love and enjoyed many adventures throughout their blessed life together. They loved to fish, enjoyed boating, and the beach. Later in life, Coy discovered his artistic talents and became a prolific artist. He freely shared his artwork with family, friends,
and medical staff.

A Committal Service is scheduled for 2:00, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery. Pastor Andrew Bosco, First Baptist Orlando will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Coy's life. Service arrangement are provided by DeGusipe Funeral Home.
