Constance Metzger Verlander, age 92, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away on August 23, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1930, in Richmond, Virginia the daughter of Joseph Henry and Margaret Elizabeth (Johnson) Metzger.

In addition to her parents, Constance was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Michael Verlander.

As a young married couple, Connie and Joe started their family life in Norfolk, Virginia, then Baltimore, Maryland, then moving to the Space Coast in Indialantic, Florida after which they eventually resided in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Her passion throughout those 50+ years were her family first and her religious faith. Connie loved to go to the beach with her family, entertaining family and friends, traveling with Joe, playing golf and playing bridge as often as possible.

Connie was an exceptional Realtor for over 30 years. She truly cared for the people and causes that were important to her. There were numerous performance awards and accolades that she acquired throughout these years.

She is survived by her daughter Mary V. (Blake) Van Brunt; sons Michael (Christina) Verlander, and Paul (Pam) Verlander; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and brother Robert (Merrily) Metzger.

Her tenacity, spirit and willingness to help others will be missed but not forgotten.
