Connie Marie Staudt, 92, of Winter Park, FL. passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024.
Connie was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She grew up in Kenosha and lived there until she
went off to college for several years at Marquette University in nearby Milwaukee. In 1957 she
married Raymond Staudt, her husband of over sixty years until his death in 2018. They were
married in Kenosha and lived there until they moved to Winter Park, Fl in 1967 with their two
children.
Connie fell in love with the warm climate and settled into a fulfilling life in Winter Park. Connie
was a homemaker for a time but eventually worked various administrative jobs. Her favorite was
a position at the University of Central Florida in the Engineering Department.
Connie had a love of music, dancing and going out on the town with family and friends. She was
an avid reader and frequently visited her local library. She enjoyed reading the newspaper cover
to cover and keeping up with current events. The Morse Museum of Winter Park was one of her
favorite places. She especially enjoyed attending the educational lectures.
She was also an avid fan of the Orlando Magic as well as her son and daughter's college
teams, the Gators and Seminoles. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for
over 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her younger sibling, Guy Marrone. She is survived by her two
children, Sandra Luby and Gary Staudt, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at St. Margaret Mary Chapel on Friday, December 27, at 10:00am.
Reception to follow immediately after at St. Margaret Mary Parish Hall.
