It is with broken hearts and eternal celebration that family and friends announce that Connie Lee Wysong left this temporary world on June 12, 2026 to live in her forever home with Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Granny” lived her life giving to others the same unconditional love, matchless grace and uninhibited joy God gave her. Connie began life and spent her childhood in Elkhart Indiana where her parents (Father, Robert and Mother, Beverly Goetz) both deceased raised a vibrant, intelligent and fearless daughter in Connie. It was in Elkhart where she met her lifelong love and surviving husband of 59 years, Larry Lee Wysong. And where she and Larry raised a family to include surviving children, Daughter, Wendy Lehman, Son, William Wysong, Daughter, Debbie Hampton and Son, David Wysong. Connie lived, loved, worked and became part of many lives and developed friendships nationwide through work, travel and residence to include, South Bend IN, Mountaintop PA, Pompano Beach FL, Tempe AZ and finally the past 50 years in St. Petersburg FL. That’s where the change took place from Mom to GRANNY as she is still known today. Her surviving 13 grandchildren, Girls (Emily, Lilly, Vireda, Kirsten,) and Boys (Justin, Jacob, Billy, David, Andy, Aaron, Nathon, Matthew, Zachary), AND, 15 Great grandchildren. All of whom knew her as the very center of their young worlds filled with her love, attention and forever fun.
As many things to many people, Granny never met a stranger or a lost cause. She participated in too many clubs and groups to mention although her favorite activities outside her family were sewing and quilting and even had a passion for “clowning”. She was filled with life, love and FUN and championed many charities and community and Church sponsored efforts. Granny will be desperately missed by so many but one of her life mottos (given by her mother) comforts all who knew her- “LOVE WINS”. And it does.
