On March 2, 2015, following a weekend filled with visits from her beloved family, Connie Holloway passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Comforter's Robison Residence in Altamonte Springs.
Connie was born in Dunlap, Tennessee on June 14, 1928 to John and Ethel Miller, the third of nine children, and was raised on Signal Mountain, Tennessee. She married James S. Holloway in 1946, moved to Sanford, and together they raised a family of six children. A lifelong homemaker, Connie's interests included cooking, sewing, and gardening; but her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Joan (Steve) Lynch, Diane (Rob) Crews; daughter-in-law Dianne Holloway; sons, Duane Holloway, Dennis (Michael Prestridge) Holloway, and Sherman (Pam) Holloway; sisters Sandra (Stacy) Seals, Roxie (Jody) Jones; sister-in-law Ann Miller; brother Donald (Joyce) Miller; as well as 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren (soon to be 16), and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 10:00 am, at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 Laurel Avenue in Sanford; Visitation - Friday, March 6th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
