Clemencia Rojas Martinez, 72, passed away on July 29, 2019 with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Alicira and Julio Rojas in Bogota, Colombia on February 23, 1947. She moved to the United States in 1961 to study, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C. in 1965, was married in 1966 and moved to Orlando in 1967.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Justo, her daughters Elizabeth Martinez Doten (Stephen) and Michele Martinez Roofthooft (David), her sister Magdalena Rojas Conway and her six grandchildren: Madeline, Reilly, Piers, Flynn, Henry and Mia.

Whether it was a cruise, frequent weekends spent in Cocoa Beach, skiing in Colorado or her annual trip to see the US Open tennis tournament in New York, she loved to travel and was constantly looking forward to the next trip. She was an avid tennis player and golfer at Heathrow Country Club. "Mama" as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren will be missed by all but never forgotten.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida.
