Clayton Kyle Dahlen was born on March 18th, 1991. He was welcomed home with his mom, Susan K Dahlen, his dad, Glenn K Dahlen, his sister, Tanya (Josh) Silva, and his niece Alicia (Matt) Johnson, who was just three months younger than him. Their cribs were in the same bedroom with a Winnie the Pooh theme. Clayton was also fortunate to have many years with his Grandfather Theodore Jost.
Clayton and all of his family had many fun times going to all the numerous theme parks in Orlando, Florida. His favorite being Universal Studios, where he was so excited to see Barney the Dinosaur that he had tears of joy. Clayton and Alicia used to travel side by side in their strollers at the theme parks with their Grandpa, who was so happy to be with them, watching the Shamu Show, going on the boat ride in Mexico at EPCOT, and more.
Clayton also grew up having basset hounds in his life. He always loved his dogs and cared for them, taking them for walks, petting them, and chilling with them letting them nap in his bed. Even when he moved out of the house he would always ask how the bassets (Bernie and Betsy) were doing.
Clayton loved to swim in pools, at the beach, and at the water parks. When he was little, Clayton and Alicia were on a swim team together and took off from there. Josh Silva used to throw both of them in the air in the pool making them laugh. Josh was always making them laugh and Clayton always enjoyed going out and about with Tanya, Josh, and Alicia too.
Clayton used to play hockey and helped his team win many games. He was able to travel for competitions. His number was 23.
Clayton was also fortunate to travel many places including Hawaii three times and St. Martin. He enjoyed visiting many sites like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and many of the beautiful beaches in Florida.
As a young adult he worked at many high end restaurants and was always eager to learn many aspects of the job, helping in any way he could. At the end of his shift, he would often bring home food for his mom and him to enjoy.
Through the sometimes rough patches of Clayton's life, as we all have had, Clayton was also fortunate to meet many kind and caring friends that helped him, and he would do his best to return the favor and help them out as well. He created many friendships throughout the years.
Clayton has extended family in Wisconsin. His sister Tanya, his brother in law Josh, his two nieces Alicia and Chloe, his nephew Elliot, his great nephews Bryce and Kaleb, and his great nieces Emilee and Lilly.
Clayton also has extended family in Australia. His Aunt Bonnie, his Uncle Paul, and their children Jeremy, Melanie, and Sophie.
Clayton also has an Uncle Paul and Aunt Judy in Sarasota, Florida.
He has always had open arms, a hug and a smile when extended family had come to visit. He was always like a big brother to everyone.
Clayton had a very strong and loving bond with his mother Susan. They would take mini vacations together, they would make their meals together, spend time talking and laughing, and enjoy their swims at the pool and Aquatica. Clayton would take care of his mom whenever she had to have surgeries, and be there for her to assist her when she needed something. Susan always gave Clayton unconditional love, and supported him fully through the good times and the bad.
Clayton was very kind, supportive, loving, and caring. He always tried hard to do the right things in life and be there for everyone. He will be deeply missed, especially by his Mother, who everyone knows that they had such a strong bond to each other.
Clayton will be greeted in heaven by his Grandfather Theordore Jost, loved by his family he has never seen before, and have open arms from everyone in Heaven.
Written by his loving sister, Tanya.
