Claudette Irene Kobin 74 of St. Petersburg passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Born in St. Petersburg, she is the daughter of Claude Edwin Smoak and Beatrice Hower Smoak. She was the owner/operator of Claudette�s Pawn and Jewelry Shop. Graduated from Boca Ciega High School and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. She enjoyed her early years serving the City of St. Petersburg as 1957 Shrine Queen, 1959 Miss Bay Pines, 1960 Miss St. Petersburg Princess. Also past member and teacher at Congregation of B'nai Israel and also a past member and trustee of St. Petersburg Elks #1224. Her hobbies included bowling, dancing and playing cards. Claudette is the loving mother of Stefanie Evan Wilkerson and her husband, Mitchell, Cynthia Baldree and husband, Robert, Gregory Kobin; also survived by a brother: William Edwin Smoak and his wife, Sandi; loving grandmother of Ashley Wilkerson; preceded in death by her son, Scott Kobin. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11 A.M. with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
