On October 10, 2019, Clarinda Eastman, loving grandmother, mother, sister and friend passed away at the age of 66 years old. Clarinda was born on January 31, 1953 in Key West, Florida born to Charles and Phyllis Johnson.

She was married in June of 1975 to William K Eastman and together they had two daughters, Sylvia and Grace. Clarinda and William are entrepreneurs. She spent the last 30 years building the Merry Maids brand in Central Florida from a start up to one of the top performing operations in the country. In that time, she won numerous awards in recognition of her leadership and achievements.

One of the things Clarinda loves was to entertain and make those around her smile. Clarinda was an avid UCF fan, going to all of the UCF home games. Go Knights! She loved nothing more than being with her friends and family while everyone was having a good time. Her laugh would always light up the entire room. Clarinda did not know a stranger. Anyone she met would call her a friend. Her sweet and gentle nature and subtle sense of humor will live on in our memories forever.

Clarinda is preceded in death by her parents Charles H Johnson the 3rd and Phyllis. Clarinda is survived by her two sisters Laura Thompson and Cynthia Johnson, her three brothers Charles H. Johnson the 4th, Bruce Johnson, and Jay Johnson, and her daughters Sylvia Clayton (m. Christopher Clayton) and Grace Eastman (m. Rafaele Eastman) and two grand-daughters.

A celebration of life will be held on November 9th, 2019 at 10 in the morning at Central Christian Church, 250 SW Ivanhoe Blvd Orlando, Florida, 32804. Afterwards, we will go over to one of Clarinda's favorite places, her home , for lunch and celebration.

For out of town guests, there are many places in Orlando to stay.

Lodging - We have a special rate at the Embassy Suites in Altamonte Springs for $119/ night. Mention CJ Eastman Memorial – rate will not be available for booking until Monday 10/22/2019.
We are also working on a room block at the Sheraton North in Maitland, FL.
Both of these hotels are about 20 minutes from the church and reception, so renting a car or car-pooling with family is recommended.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to Embrace Families, the non-profit organization through which CJ's two beautiful granddaughters were adopted.
