Obituary

Clarence Robinson aka Bubba, aka Papa was born inside his family home on a farm in Albany, Georgia on January 25, 1946, the second child of Fannie Mae Robinson. From a very young age he learned the value of hard work. His grandparents, Garfield and Selina Smith, were an integral part in his upbringing and imparted a wealth of wisdom that he would eventually pass on to his descendants.
As a young man he accepted Christ as his savior, was baptised and became a member of Shilo Missionary Baptist Church of Pecan City, GA. He loved modifying and racing old cars in his spare time. He met the love of his life, Garnet Jane, and they relocated to Orlando in 1970. Soon after, he obtained his license as a Roofing Contractor and opened his own business. He went on to be an Owner Operator in the trucking industry. Clarence loved his family, traveling, good BBQ, old Western movies, classic cars, Pro-Wrestling (Dusty Rhodes' biggest fan) and country music. He was an entrepreneur, avid photographer, and conspiracy theorist who never met a stranger. He was the epitome of a man who would give you the shirt off his back.
His perfect weekend off from work consisted of watching his grandchildren's' sports and extracurricular activities. He enjoyed watching football, FSU on Saturday and the Tampa Bay Bucs on Sunday, followed by a home-cooked meal with family.
Clarence is preceded in death by his mother and his son, Victor Cohen. He is survived by his loving wife, Garnet; two sisters, Deloris Love (Tuskegee, AL) and Annette Smith (Cleveland, OH); his son, Vincent Robinson (wife Desiree Sanchez); daughters, Cassandra Lyn Robinson (Berton Newbill), Selina Jacobs (Terrance Jacobs), and Catrina Marie Robinson (Neil Brown Jr); nine grandchildren, Chasity Robinson, Donnie Griffin Jr (Gabriela Griffin), Ashley Jacobs, Cornelius Bishop Brown, Ethan Brown, Justin Griffin, Eres Sanchez-Robinson, Isiah Sanchez-Robinson, Ananda Jane Jacobs; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Griffin and Mateo Griffin, along with a great number of extended family and friends.
