Clarence E. Prevatt, Jr. of Tampa, passed away Oct 19, 2017. He was formerly of Temple Terrace and presently the owner of the Prevatt Funeral Home in Hudson, Fla.He is survived by his loving wife 33 years Elaine, and a daughter Morgan. He graduated from C.Leon King High School and the University of South Fla. in Tampa.He was also a graduate of the Miami-Dade Mortuary Science College in Miami.He was a member of St.Michael's Catholic Church in Hudson where he was active on the Finance Committee , with the Knights of Columbus and also Sponsored All Souls Day at St. Michael's.He served as a Board Memebr of Hospice of Pasco and Hernando. .He is a past member of the Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce of Temple Terrace and the Crew of Venus.He was the founding father of the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida which celebrated its 25th year this year Clarence enjoyed hunting,fishing,golf,cooking,sitting in front of a fire and of course telling stories.Friends will be received Monday Oct 23 from 6-8 pm at the R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home , 3530 49th St. No St. Petersburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct 24 11:00 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 5225 N Himes Ave ,Tampa. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery
