ORLANDO, Florida. – Claire Marie (Quinn) Marcoux-Martin, 96, died peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 2, 1925, the daughter of Joseph Aldege and Blanche Anita (Decheneau) Quinn.
Claire married Fernand R. Marcoux in 1943 in Charleston, SC. He died in 1995 at the age of 72.
Claire moved from Greenfield, MA to Nashua, NH, where she lived from 1972 until moving to Fort Myers in 1985.
She was a full-time housewife, mother, and grandmother. One of the many jobs she had was assisting the priest and staff at Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua, NH.
She married Robert J. Martin, Sr. in 1997 in Ft. Myers, FL and moved to Orlando in 2003. He died in 2014 at the age of 88.
She was the matriarch of a four-generation family who will all miss her very much. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed tap dancing, loved doll-making and was a great golfer. She loved life and always wanted to sample a little bit of everything.
Survivors include two daughters Jacqueline M. (Marcoux) and husband David McAuliffe of Shrewsbury, MA and Denise J. (Marcoux) Larson-Moran of Gardner, MA; four sons Russell P. and wife Pamela Marcoux of Santa Rosa, CA, David J. and wife Carol Marcoux of Orlando, FL, and Joseph A. Marcoux and husband Paul Pilawski of Melbourne, FL; and Stephen J. and wife Lisa Marcoux of Jonesborough, TN; a sister Lucille DiZoglio of Salem, NH; sister-in-law Nancy (Bonds) Quinn of Rising Sun, MD; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and counting, and 1 great-great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Claire (Marcoux) DeMontigny, a sister Marcelle B. Quinn, brother Roland R. Quinn, Sr., grandson Edward P. Larson and son-in-law Eugene D. Larson
Arrangements will be through DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematorium in Maitland, FL, and burial will be in Our Lady of Light Catholic Church Gardens in Ft. Myers at a later date.
