Christopher Patrick Rock
November 18, 1961 – February 7, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher Patrick Rock, who left this world on February 7, 2025. Chris was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his generous heart, strong spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
Born on November 18, 1961, Chris was the son of Carol Berry (1935-2022) and Peggy Joyce Bailow (Rock) (1942- 2009) and was lovingly raised by his adoptive father, Lester Charles Rock. He grew up with a large and loving family, sharing his life with his siblings: Walter Rock, Loretta Rock (deceased), Debbie Hewitt, Tammie Brown, Audrey Milosh, Lonna Rock, DeeDee Rock, Sandy Berry (deceased), and Tonya Berry (deceased).
Chris shared his life with his wife, Bobbie Jo Davis (Rock), and was an incredibly proud father to his children: Nicole Rock (Read), Rachael Ann Rock (Rachlin) (03/07/1992), and Jasmine Leigh Rock (07/05/2002). Though he endured the heartbreaking loss of his son, Jeremy Patrick Rock (12/08/1980-02/16/1981), his love for all his children remained unwavering. He also embraced his stepdaughters, Sabrina AnnMarie Heritage (08/01/1997) and Nikita Lavon Riddle (08/02/2000), as his own, loving and supporting them every step of the way.
Chris was also a proud grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly and cherished every moment spent with them, whether sharing stories, giving advice, or simply enjoying their presence.
A skilled mechanic with a deep passion for cars, Chris found joy in fixing engines, turning wrenches, and cheering on his favorite race car driver, Dale Earnhardt. He loved the simple pleasures in life—smoking his 305's Full Flavor cigarettes, cracking open a Busch beer, and firing up the grill to make his legendary ribs at family cookouts.
Chris had a heart of gold. He would help anyone, even when he had little to give, always offering a listening ear and words of wisdom. He took great pride in his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments, celebrating their successes with a beaming smile. Above all, Chris valued freedom—living in the moment, embracing life as it came, and making lasting memories with those he loved.
Chris will be missed beyond words, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. His kindness, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, guiding them through life just as he always did.
As he always said, "It's not goodbye, it's see you later. "
In his memory, fire up the grill, enjoy a cold one, and take in the moment—just as Chris would have wanted.
Chris, you will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
