Christopher Keegan passed away after a short battle with cancer on February 12, 2024 in Altamonte Springs at the age of 49.
He is survived by his loving father and stepmother Richard Keegan and Judy Peters of Lake Mary, sister Heather Keegan of the Woodlands, Texas, and stepfather Jerry Chadbourn of Oro Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by his best friend and honorary brother Jake Wallendal of Wisconsin, as well as countless step-siblings, in-laws, nephews and friends who deeply enriched his life. He is preceded in death by his adoring mother Dian Peterson of Arizona.
Chris was born November 9, 1974 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He later lived in Norfolk, Virginia and Lake Mary, Florida. As a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), he worked as a hotel appraiser for CBRE.
Chris was a generous, helpful, and kind man with a sharp sense of humor. Young children and pets were drawn to his gentle strength, and he loved to care for them.
In honor of Chris's easygoing nature, an informal memorial service will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, his family hopes that those who cared for Chris will honor his memory by scheduling regular colonoscopies and urging their own loved ones to do the same.
