Obituary

Christopher John Donnelly, Sr. passed after a brief, but hard-fought battle with cancer in Winter Garden, Florida on March 3, 2025, at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Donnelly, his son, Chris Donnelly, Jr., and his daughter, Aer'is Donnelly. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Donnelly, and his brother, Joseph Donnelly. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Donnelly, and his brothers—Matthew Donnelly, Brian Donnelly, and Glenn Donnelly. He is survived, as well, by his sisters-in-law—Barbara Donnelly, Elizabeth Donnelly, and Denal Donnelly and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were an important part of his life. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart, those who had passed, as well as those who are alive today. Many of his family members reside in Florida.

Chris was born on November 28,1965 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He grew up and fondly remembered his summers in Avalon, New Jersey and on the Wildwood Boardwalk. He moved to Pompano Beach, Florida after the passing of his beloved father. He then moved to Spring Hill, Florida, where he received his diploma in 1985. He later attended Broward Community College.

Chris married Laurie DeMoro Donnelly on March 27, 1988. They were together for almost 40
years, building a life with two beautiful children, working hard, and enjoying time with family and
friends.

Chris had a passion for people and flourished in the food industry. Starting in the 1980s at
Donnelly's Deli, he then worked for the Hernando County School Board's nutrition department.
From there, he moved to The Walt Disney Company, becoming a leader in the Outdoor Foods
Vending department. He is remembered by those whom he worked with for his compassionate,
caring, and humorous nature.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 2 p.m., March 21, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church on South
Apopka Vineland Road. A Celebration of Life is being held in his honor on March 22nd at the
Windermere Cay clubhouse from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 8200 Jayme Drive, Windermere, FL 34786.
